Late next week I head to IBM Connect 2013, previously known as Lotusphere, in Orlando FL. I'm attending as an industry analyst, and look forward to the meetings, sessions, and discussions that are coming up. This afternoon I have been reviewing the schedule for the week, and am left speechless at how to get everything to fit in. There are so many opportunities to listen, learn, and engage ... and only five days in which to do it.
A couple of other points of note:
- There is a bookstore onsite at IBM Connect. For the first time my books will be available in the bookstore. I will be bringing across a limited number of copies of Collaboration Roadmap (2011) and User Adoption Strategies 2nd Ed. (2012). Each book is usually US$55 including shipping to the United States and Europe. You will be able to purchase the books with no shipping charges added at the bookstore - at only US$39 a copy. But you will have to be super quick - there are only so many I can carry across in checked in luggage.
- I will have a couple of copies of the in-progress manuscript for my latest book with me - Doing Business with IBM Connections. Very happy to show you what I'm working on, and to have a discussion about the approach taken in the book.
Finally, I am looking forward to catching up with clients and colleagues at the conference. That said, and in looking at how few hours are available, it's going to be a busy week.
I will be at the conference until about 2pm on Thursday afternoon, and which point I head to San Francisco for a client engagement on Friday February 1. The current plan is to fly back to New Zealand from San Francisco on the night of February 1.
